A meaningful ceremony for senior staff at Hacettepe University

The “Years of Service Award Ceremony,” organized for our academic and administrative staff who have served 30, 35, 40, and 45 years within Hacettepe University and retired due to the age limit, was held on April 22 in the “M Hall” at the Sıhhiye Campus.

The ceremony, organized in honor of our academic and administrative staff who have made valuable contributions to our University over many years, began with a musical performance by the ADK Acoustic Trio, consisting of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tolga Yüksel, Deputy Director of the Ankara State Conservatory of Hacettepe University; Lecturer Serkan Alagök, Head of the Jazz Department; and doctoral student Alper Es.

In his opening speech, our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cahit Güran stated: “Today, we are holding one of the most important and meaningful gatherings of the Hacettepe University family. Our University is not only an educational institution; it is a well-established institution that produces knowledge, educates individuals, guides society, and builds values. The true owners of this structure are you. Each of your efforts has formed the foundation stones of this institution. You have not only served at this university, but also shaped its identity and character. Therefore, you are not only representatives of the past, but also the builders of the future and role models.”

The ceremony concluded with our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cahit Güran presenting certificates of service to our staff who have served the University for 30, 35, 40, and 45 years and retired due to the age limit, followed by a group photo session with the recipients.
