Hacettepe University continues to strengthen the bridge between scientific knowledge production and industry experience. Hacettepe University administrators and representatives of important institutions in the sector gathered at the Beytepe Campus for this purpose. Organized by the Hacettepe University Career Center (KARMER) and aiming to strengthen our University's interaction with its sector partners, the “Hacettepe University-Industry Collaboration Meeting” was held on January 20. The meeting, held at our university's İhsan Doğramacı Building, was attended by Hacettepe University Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cahit Güran, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Sibel Aksu Yıldırım, as well as our university administrators and relevant stakeholders.
The Project for Developing Micro-Credential Programs Aligned with Business Expectations was presented
The meeting began with a speech by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cahit Güran, and continued with presentations by KARMER Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammet Serhat Öztürk. In his presentations, Assoc. Prof. Öztürk addressed university-industry collaboration and introduced KARMER.
The meeting continued with a presentation by our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Sibel Aksu Yıldırım on the Project for the Development of Micro-Credential Programs Aligned with Business Expectations.
The opinions of industry representatives were heard
Following the opening speeches, the effectiveness of our existing partnerships between Hacettepe and industry institutions was evaluated at a meeting where the opinions and suggestions of industry representatives were heard. In addition, the agenda of the meeting included determining new educational cooperation opportunities for the future, including strengthening communication between institutions and designing micro-competency programs in line with the expectations of the business world.
Many stakeholders together
Many stakeholders attended the meeting, which was organized to increase interaction between industry stakeholders and our university. Representing our university at the meeting were our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cahit Güran, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Sibel Aksu Yıldırım, the Secretary General and Assistant Secretaries General, the Coordinator of the Lifelong Learning Center, the Coordinator of International Relations and Protocols, the Head of the Health, Culture and Sports Department, the Alumni Relations Coordinator, General Manager of Hacettepe University Technopark; while representatives from Aselsan, Petlas, Siemens, Talewords, THY, TR Motor, Turkcell, TURKSAT, TUSAŞ, Roketsan, Defense Industry Academy, Ankara Chamber of Commerce, Ankara Chamber of Industry, Vocational Qualifications Authority, and İŞKUR participated as external attendees.
