
Hacettepe University hosted a delegation from Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University within the scope of its internationalization vision.
A 23-member delegation consisting of academic and administrative staff from Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University visited Hacettepe University to evaluate opportunities for academic cooperation and to conduct on-site visits to faculty units. During the meetings held with relevant representatives of our university, primarily our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cahit Güran, issues such as joint research projects, academic exchange programs, and institutional cooperation opportunities were discussed.
The meeting, held at the Senate Meeting Hall of the İhsan Doğramacı Building, was attended on behalf of our university by Dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Şefika Şule Erçetin, Dean of the Faculty of Science Prof. Dr. Hatice Mergen, Dean of the Faculty of Letters Prof. Dr. Emine Erdoğan Özünlü, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Prof. Dr. Yonca İldeş, Dean of the Faculty of Communication Prof. Dr. Uğur Sadioğlu, Director of the Institute of Turkic Studies Prof. Dr. Yunus Koç, Coordinator of International Relations and Protocols Prof. Dr. Erkan Zengin, Head of the Department of Contemporary Turkic Languages and Literatures Prof. Dr. Nurettin Demir, faculty member of the same department Dr. Hasan Hayırsever, and academic staff member of the International Relations and Protocols Coordination Office Dr. Sezen Ceren Yılmaz.
Following the meeting, the Kazakhstani delegation visited the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Science, and the Institute of Turkic Studies, accompanied respectively by Prof. Dr. Şefika Şule Erçetin, Prof. Dr. Hatice Mergen, and Prof. Dr. Yunus Koç. During the visits to the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Education, the delegation toured laboratories and research centers within the faculties and obtained first-hand information about the university’s research and application infrastructure.
At the conclusion of the meetings, the parties reached a mutual agreement to maintain inter-unit communication in the coming period and to concretize potential areas of cooperation in order to strengthen collaboration between the two universities.
